What is a #Lagrange Point?

A body's distance from the sun - and the speed it maintains to keep that distance - are correlated. There are 5 points in the Earth-sun system where a spacecraft can move at just the right orbital speed to stay put relative to the Earth and sun. These are the 5 Lagrange points, shown here.
