New Supercomputer Simulations Will Help pin Down Inflation

There are multiple simulations of the Universe running on powerful supercomputers. In Japan, there's the ATERIUI II supercomputer a the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan. This simulation is attempting to rewind the evolution of galaxies, seeing how they evolved. Researchers generated 4,000 simulated universes, tweaking various parameters for dark energy, dark matter, gravity, etc., and were able to pick out models of inflation that best match our observations of the Universe.
